Job Description
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager who can lead software projects from requirement gathering to successful delivery. This role requires someone who understands technology, communicates effectively with clients, and ensures engineering teams execute projects on time with high quality. You will work closely with founders, clients, developers, QA engineers, and designers to deliver web, mobile, AI, and enterprise software solutions. This is a hands-on execution role, not just project coordination.
Roles & Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Own end-to-end delivery of multiple software projects
- Define project scope, milestones, timelines, and deliverables
- Track progress and proactively remove execution blockers
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality
- Identify risks early and create mitigation plans
Client Management
- Lead client discovery and requirement gathering sessions
- Convert business requirements into detailed technical specifications
- Conduct regular client meetings and provide project updates
- Manage expectations regarding scope, timelines, and priorities
- Handle change requests and project escalations professionally
Technical Understanding
- Work closely with engineering teams to understand architecture and technical challenges
- Participate in solution discussions and technical planning
- Review user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
- Ensure developers have clear and complete requirements before implementation
- Understand APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and modern software architectures
Team Leadership
- Coordinate developers, QA engineers, designers, and DevOps engineers
- Run sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews
- Monitor team productivity and project velocity
- Encourage ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
Quality & Process
- Ensure projects follow defined engineering and QA processes
- Monitor testing, releases, and deployment readiness
- Improve delivery processes through automation and best practices
- Maintain project and technical documentation
Reporting
- Prepare weekly project status reports
- Track project health using KPIs
- Report risks, delays, dependencies, and resource requirements to leadership
Required Skills
- 4–8+ years of experience managing software development projects
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Experience managing multiple client-facing software projects simultaneously
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to make decisions under pressure
- Strong stakeholder management skills
Technical Knowledge
Candidates should have a working understanding of:
- Web application development
- REST APIs
- Databases (SQL/NoSQL)
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Git and version control
- CI/CD concepts
- AI/LLM applications (preferred)
- Microservices architecture (preferred)
- Software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Tools
Experience with any of the following:
- Jira, ClickUp, Linear, Azure DevOps
- GitHub, Slack, Microsoft Teams
- Notion, Confluence
