Life at Insurnest
Hear it from the team
A short story from an Insurnest team member on the work, the people and the pace.
Job Description
We are a fast-growing technology and digital solutions company based in Ahmedabad. We partner with startups and enterprises to build world-class digital products — from cutting-edge web & mobile apps to robust SaaS platforms. Our marketing team is the engine that tells our story, drives qualified leads, and builds a brand that the tech world notices.
We are looking for a driven, opinionated, and digitally-native Marketing Intern who doesn't wait to be told what to do. You live and breathe content — you understand what makes a brand voice stick, why keywords matter, and how a single great blog post can drive a hundred leads. You have a point of view on content and you're not afraid to defend it. This is not a task-execution role — we want a creator, a strategist-in-the-making.
Roles & Responsibilities
Content Marketing (Primary Focus)
- Research, plan, write, and publish high-quality blogs, case studies, whitepapers, and thought-leadership pieces that rank AND resonate
- Develop a consistent brand voice across all written touchpoints — website, social, email, and ads
- Build and execute a monthly content calendar with clear goals, topics, and KPIs
- Repurpose long-form content into bite-sized social media posts, carousels, reels scripts, and newsletters
- Collaborate with the design team to create visually compelling content that stops the scroll
SEO
- Conduct keyword research using tools like Ahrefs / SEMrush / Google Search Console to identify high-impact content opportunities
- Perform on-page SEO audits and implement optimisation across existing content
- Build an internal linking strategy and monitor technical SEO health
- Track organic performance metrics weekly — rankings, CTR, impressions, and bounce rate
- Stay on top of Google algorithm updates and pivot content strategy accordingly
Required Skills
- Strong command of written English — you write clearly, concisely, and compellingly
- Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals: keyword strategy, on-page optimisation, link building, technical SEO
- Familiarity with at least one SEO tool: Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, or Google Search Console
- Working knowledge of digital marketing channels: paid search, social media, email marketing
- Comfort with data — you read reports, draw insights, and translate them to action
- Self-starter attitude — you take ownership, meet deadlines, and don't wait for hand-holding
- Creative thinker who can generate ideas AND execute them
- Basic knowledge of Google Analytics 4 / Google Tag Manager
Nice to Have
- Experience running a personal blog, newsletter, YouTube channel, or social media page
- Familiarity with tools like Canva, Notion, HubSpot, Mailchimp, or Buffer
- Understanding of B2B SaaS or tech marketing
- Basic knowledge of HTML (for meta tags, headings, schema markup)
- Experience with WordPress or any CMS
The Attitude We Insist On
We want someone who has an opinion on every content decision and can back it up with data, challenges the brief if there's a smarter approach, obsesses over analytics because they genuinely want to win, treats every piece of content as a representation of the brand, and learns something new every week.
- We don't want someone who waits to be assigned tasks and does only the minimum
- We don't want someone who treats content as a checkbox, not a craft
- We don't want someone who submits work without proofreading or reviewing
- We don't want someone who is afraid of feedback or too fragile to iterate fast
- We don't want someone who shows up to internships just to add a line to a CV
What You'll Gain
- Hands-on experience with live campaigns — real budget, real outcomes, real accountability
- Direct mentorship from experienced growth marketers and founders
- Access to premium SEO and marketing tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, HubSpot, and more)
- A portfolio of published content, live campaigns, and measurable results
- Certificate of Internship + Letter of Recommendation
- High performer? You're first in line for a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO)
- A culture that rewards initiative — your ideas will actually be heard and implemented
