Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and driven Full Stack Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will architect and deliver end-to-end features across complex, production-grade microservices systems. You will collaborate directly with clients and cross-functional teams, apply AI-driven development practices, and uphold the highest standards of software quality through test-driven development and solid engineering principles.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack features using Python/Django and React.js
- Architect, manage, and operate complex microservices codebases in production environments
- Identify, analyse, and resolve intricate application edge cases and complex business logic scenarios
- Apply system design best practices and SOLID principles across backend and frontend layers
- Write clean, testable code following TDD methodology; maintain high coverage with unit, integration, and E2E tests
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools and integrate AI/ML capabilities into product features
- Communicate directly with clients — gathering requirements, providing progress updates, and setting clear expectations
- Lead feature delivery end-to-end: from requirement analysis and architecture through deployment and monitoring
- Understand and model complex business rules, especially within financial product domains
Required Skills
Backend
- Python / Django — strong proficiency in building production-grade REST APIs and background workers (Django ORM, DRF, Celery, async views)
- PostgreSQL — advanced query optimisation, indexing strategies, and schema design (complex joins, window functions, JSONB, migrations at scale)
Frontend
- React.js — component architecture, performance optimisation, and responsive UI development
- Redux — state management for large-scale applications; Redux Toolkit preferred (async thunks, selectors, middleware, normalised state)
Architecture & Engineering Practices
- Microservices — service contracts, API gateways, event-driven messaging (Kafka / RabbitMQ), Docker/Kubernetes
- System Design — solid foundations in scalability, availability, and data consistency patterns
- SOLID Principles — demonstrated through code reviews, architecture decisions, and mentorship
- TDD — red-green-refactor discipline; pytest, Jest, Cypress, or equivalent tooling
AI-Driven Development
- Proficient with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude)
- Experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) into production applications
- Ability to evaluate AI-generated code critically and adapt it to production standards
Experience Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience delivering full-stack, end-to-end projects
- Proven track record of taking projects from requirements gathering through production deployment
- Demonstrable experience handling complex business edge cases and debugging deep application issues
- Experience with direct client communication — written, verbal, and in presentations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial products — trading platforms, payment systems, insurance, or lending domains
- Familiarity with financial regulations, compliance workflows, or audit-trail requirements
- Experience with high-availability and fault-tolerant architectures for mission-critical systems
- Contributions to open-source projects or a strong technical portfolio
Soft Skills & Culture Fit
- Clear, proactive communicator — comfortable owning client conversations and translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical thinker with the ability to break down ambiguous requirements into actionable tasks
- Self-directed and ownership-minded; able to drive projects with minimal supervision
- Collaborative team player who participates actively in code reviews and knowledge sharing
- Detail-oriented with a quality-first mindset — you take pride in shipping reliable software
